The Fryers Street Food Festival provided an opportunity for SPC and GOTAFE to announce a new partnership.

It provides scholarships for young people in the region in mechanical and engineering courses to start next year through sponsorship from SPC.
The partnership includes SPC sponsoring GOTAFE's Careers Day Out Event for 2020 and full tuition scholarships:
● Two Certificate II in Electrotechnology
● Two Certificate II in Engineering
● One Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering
● One Certificate III in Engineering – Metal Fabrication
“This new sponsorship is a fantastic opportunity for SPC to impact the lives of young people in our community and gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience in the expanding SPC business,” SPC chief executive Robert Giles said.
“We want to instill confidence within the region that SPC are not only here to stay but are in fact undertaking an aggressive expansion strategy.
“We are excited to be investing in the youth of our region to ensure they are equipped with job-ready skills for the future.”
