Gouge Linen and Garment Services has added 32 new positions across various departments, growing its local workforce to more than 450 people.
The Priestly family-owned business, which has operated in the Goulburn Valley region for nearly 80 years, has increased its weekly cleaning capacity by 100 tonnes.
“Due to the business being close to capacity, it was necessary to increase the volume of work that we do,” Gouge chief executive officer John Calleja said.
The expansion includes new equipment such as an ironing line, washer, folding equipment, and commercial dryers to service food processing, hospitality, manufacturing, and healthcare industries.
“All of the new equipment has the latest energy efficiency, and it certainly helps us as a business to lower our environmental footprint and helps process our work at a higher standard,” Mr Calleja said.
