Mr Messy, Mr Bump and several of their Mr Men friends kept company with the likes of the seven dwarfs and storybook characters of all descriptions at Kyabram P-12 College’s Book Week parade on Monday.
Staff seemed just as enthusiastic about their costume choices as the students as an amazing array of colourful characters paraded in the school courtyard for the annual celebration of literature.
This year’s Book Week theme was Dreaming With Eyes Open, continuing a history that started in 1945.
Since 1987 there has been a national theme, chosen and voted on by the Children’s Book Council of Australia.
