Every week, a $500 RBN gift card will be up for grabs.
Purchases made at participating businesses put shoppers into a draw to potentially take home the voucher.
RBN president Tracie Kyne said that the reception to the campaign has been very positive.
“Responses to the campaign have been incredible,” she said.
“An enormous amount of tickets were in the barrel.”
The campaign has run successfully in the past, beginning post-floods with out-of-town visitors going out of their way to shop in Rochester.
RBN saw the opportunity to encourage locals to follow suit, promoting Rochester residents and those from further afar to support the town’s business owners.
Mrs Kyne has been impressed with the number of people getting involved in Shop Rochester, especially non-locals.
“I’m amazed at how many people in town I don’t know,” she said.
“It’s so nice to see.”
RBN gift cards can be used at any member’s business, whether it be for groceries, a hair appointment, sports equipment, trade service or the myriad of other services and stores available.
To enter, make a purchase, complete the form and put it into the entry box.
Winners are drawn at the end of each week, resetting on Mondays.
The Shop Rochester initiative is funded by Campaspe Shire Council and Community Bank Elmore, Lockington and Rochester.
