This fantastic opportunity will not only provide shoppers with the help that they may need, but will also strongly benefit local businesses, opening the doors to a much larger audience.
To maximise the advantages for Shepparton’s businesses, the website will help gain attention from shoppers from outside the region.
From home appliances and furniture to clothing and accessories, technology and books, there is something for everyone’s shopping taste buds.
The website’s main purpose is to help community members save time and money to give them a more enjoyable shopping experience.
Launching just in time for this year’s shopping rush, the page will help consumers plan their shopping, and help them find whatever it is they may be looking for.
Council place manager Bonnie McIntosh, said she was excited about how the web page would simplify the shopping experience for locals.
“This year we are simplifying the process of finding Black Friday deals by bringing together the best offers from local retailers in one convenient place,” she said.
“This approach makes it easier for savvy shoppers to support businesses in our region while discovering and taking advantage of great local deals.”
Council manager economic development Anthony Nicolaci emphasised the importance of supporting local businesses this Black Friday.
“We encourage everyone to think local first,” he said.
“By choosing to shop at our local businesses, you are not just supporting the economy, but also eliminating the wait time for deliveries.
“Every purchase helps create jobs and strengthens our community.”
Retailers in Greater Shepparton can submit their promotions for the Black Friday event by visiting shepp.city/blackfridayapply.
Submissions will close at 11.59pm on Monday, November 11.
The web page will be available to access for shoppers from Friday, November 15.
Shop real, shop local and enjoy the awesome benefits of staying close to home while making a real difference in the community.
