Billie-Ann Dillon completed her Certificate IV in Community Services at GOTAFE in 2019 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Human Services and Master of Social Work at La Trobe University in Shepparton.
Ms Dillon moved to Shepparton 10 years ago and is a single mum to eight-year-old twins, whom she hopes to inspire.
“Juggling study with life can be hard,” Ms Dillon said.
“But it’s all about being organised.
“I want to do more for my children and show them anything is possible if you put your mind to it.”
Ms Dillon will share her story at an information night to be held at GOTAFE’s Fryers St campus auditorium on Wednesday, May 17 from 5.30pm to 6.30pm.
“For me, Careers Week is all about inspiring people, regardless of their age,” she said.
“Maybe you are someone who doesn’t know what career you want yet.
“Anything is possible, it is never too late to find a career.”
The information night is an opportunity to find out more about Free TAFE courses and local university pathways.
It is a partnership between Skills and Jobs Centres, GOTAFE, La Trobe University and Melbourne University.
