But there’s no better way to describe this event.
The Soroptimist International of Shepparton’s Giant Charity Garage Sale and Pop-Up Shop is back, luring deal hunters and thrift store aficionados to the Shepparton Harness Racing Club.
Stretching over six days — June 13 to 15 and June 20 to 22 — and packed with mass donations, the sale is a test of endurance and attention for shoppers to poke through and uncover the piece that piques their interest.
Finding that item that sings brings a euphoric feeling, but knowing that all proceeds will be donated to local charities is an even better sensation.
Standout items from the sale include kitchenware, camping gear, electrical goods, furniture, plants, books, kids’ toys, and clothing for all ages.
Or, as Shepparton Soroptimist member Margaret Webster described it, “absolutely everything”.
“You name it — there’s something for everyone, and all items are very reasonably priced,” she said.
Soroptimist International of Shepparton’s Giant Charity Garage Sale and Pop-Up Shop is on June 13 to 15 and June 20 to 22 at Shepparton Harness Racing Club, 7580 Goulburn Valley Hwy, Kialla.
The sale will be open from 9am to 4pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and from 8.30am to 4pm on Saturdays.
Both cash and card payments are accepted.
