Held at the Rumbalara Football Club in Shepparton, the Inland Rail Skills Academy Rail Readiness course offered participants an understanding of the requirements for a career in rail and construction.
Focusing on safety, mental fitness, psychosocial hazards, workplace readiness and being fit for duty in the rail industry, the course provided valuable insights into the rail industry.
The Inland Rail Skills Academy works with contractors and key community stakeholders to understand both industry and community challenges and identify mutually beneficial solutions.
The course was delivered in partnership with high-performance mentoring and training organisation Yakka Training and was designed to provide support for individuals thinking about a career in rail.
Inland Rail is committed to delivering strong opportunities for regional and First Nations communities through education, training, skills development and employment.
