The company recently announced its cast which includes a blend of seasoned performers and emerging talents, each aiming to bring a unique flair to their respective roles.
Shepparton performers Sean O’Brien, who starred as Shrek in last year’s production, will play the Baker, while co-star Megan Scott who played Princess Fiona, returns as Cinderella.
Numurkah’s Juliana De Quilettes will bring the Witch to life, while Dillon Shelley stars as Cinderella’s Prince and Shepparton’s Luke Martin will play Jack.
Sean is also co-directing the musical with Tamara Cadd who plays the Baker’s Wife and Mark Thomson.
“We are really excited about the diverse and exceptionally talented group of actors who bring passion, energy, and a deep understanding of the characters to the stage,” Mr O’Brien said.
“I am confident that our cast will bring depth and authenticity to their characters, creating a magical and memorable performance for our audiences.”
Into the Woods intertwines the Grimms Brothers’ classic fairy tales that explores the consequences of wishes and the complexity of human desires.
“We have had our first read-through and it’s already sounding amazing,” Mr O’Brien said.
“We are excited to start rehearsals and bring Stephen Sondheim’s award-winning musical to life in Echuca.”
Into the Woods will run for a strictly limited season, with five shows performed at the Echuca Paramount from May 30 to June 2.
