Many families often bring food and make a day of it.
Among the favourite things to do, the flying fox and the skate park are always popular, with many young kids showing off their skills on bikes and skateboards.
Then there’s the exhausted parents, helping their excited offspring pull the flying fox back up to the start for another go.
If you are wanting to eat something extra fresh, locals have been trying their luck at catching the trout and golden perch, both regularly stocked in the lake.
With the increase in warmer weather, Victoria Park Lake is set to become even busier — both on and off the water.
