The playgroup has been part of the community for more than 40 years and provides a supportive environment for mums, dads, grandparents and carers.
According to information provided by the playgroup, children aged up to five years are “encouraged to play, be creative, learn and socialise in a safe and proactive environment”.
For families new to the district, the playgroup is often the first service to be used when connecting with the community. The playgroup offers a place to interact with other families in a period that is often challenging and sometimes isolating.
The team at the playgroup was thrilled to welcome families back with a post on its Facebook page expressing its joy.
“Playgroup is back!” it said.
“Monday was a great start. With the weather cooling down, now is a great time to pop down for a cuppa and a play.”
Seymour Playgroup Incorporated is equipped with children’s toys and has a baby safe area for children aged one and under.
Throughout the sessions, children can play indoors and outdoors. Tea and coffee is also provided at the morning playgroup.
The playgroup is located in Kings Park. For information, visit the Seymour Playgroup Incorporated Facebook page or phone 0428 922 630.
