Its purpose was to introduce the college’s 2025 leaders, with each presented a badge.
Principal Debbie Oliver began the assembly by saying how proud she was to lead the school.
“I'm deeply committed to fostering a culture of leadership that empowers each and every student to realise their full potential and make a positive impact, not only on this school, but also the world at large,” Ms Oliver said.
“I'm not just talking about the students that are receiving a badge today, I'm addressing everybody sitting here.
“We can all be leaders in our own way.”

State Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland was a special guest at the assembly.
“While today's assembly is around school leadership, looking around today, you all embody such beautiful qualities that really makes everyone here a leader in their life,” Ms Cleeland said.
“You all present so well. I've seen kindness and you’ve listened.
“I was in Ms Oliver's office before, looking at the school values of respect, inspire and excel.

“The advice I had from your school leaders was about representing those values in everyday life, which I can see you’re doing so beautifully, and the new preppies, golly, you all look amazing.”
Senior college captains Jacob Sterio and Mandessah Wyatt then addressed the assembly.
“We’d like to encourage all students to feel that we’re accessible and that they can approach us at any time if they have any suggestions or concerns that we might be able to assist with,” Jacob said.
“All students at Seymour College have the opportunity to be leaders.
“We encourage you to be positive and participate in all aspects of school life.

“This includes swimming, athletics, cross-country and all round-robin activities, but most importantly, putting 100 per cent into class and the school work.”
Mandessah said she hoped all Year 7 students, who are currently at the Rubicon camp, had a great time.
“It’s a great opportunity and we hope they enjoy it,” she said.
“We would like to wish all staff and students all the best for the year ahead and we’re looking forward to the next whole school assembly.”
