The free lunch, put on as a collaboration between ENH and Shebani’s Catering, gave away 80 chicken souvlakis and all the vegetarian meals.
ENH administration assistant Alyx Jorgensen said the turnout was “amazing”.

“Harmony Day brought heaps of new faces to the neighbourhood house,” she said.
“There were people who were new faces, just to this site, Landsborough St, who hadn’t been here before because it can be a little hard to find.”
“The lunch welcomed new and old faces, along with heaps of workers who just stopped by to grab a souvlaki, which was great.”

Harmony Day is part of Harmony Week and sits on the United Nations’ International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
ENH wanted to use the day to celebrate and support everyone in the community, letting the multicultural parts of the community know that the neighbourhood house is also there for them.
