Well, at least that’s how it works for the 80 incredible women who filled the Kyabram Parkland Golf Club on February 27 to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The event, organised by Kyabram District Health Service's KyConnex program, was part of the 2024 Campaspe Shire Seniors Program funding grant.
The gathering featured engaging guest speakers who covered topics including self-care, health, wellness and resilience.
Attendees had the opportunity to openly discuss and share experiences, gaining valuable insights from the presentations.
The atmosphere was filled with energy and laughter as participants bonded over shared experiences and a delicious lunch.
Many older attendees expressed appreciation for the event, feeling welcome and part of a community.
KDHS staff member Shani Clark was one of the speakers who inspired conversation between table groups.

The success of Secret Women's Business highlights the growing demand for safe and empowering spaces where women can uplift each other and learn together.
The event was also the first organised through the KyConnex program.
Run through KDHS, KyConnex offers community members aged 65 or above to socialise, build connections and engage in special interest groups, activities and bus trips.
The program is set to have its official launch on Thursday, April 24 and staff are asking for those who wish to be involved as members to contact 5857 0236.
