“We encourage our families to take advantage of the Goulburn Valley Libraries’ awesome ‘under the sea’ school holiday program,” Strathbogie Shire Council Mayor Laura Binks said.
“Through our partnership with GV Libraries, the shire has fantastic facilities in Euroa, Nagambie and Violet Town where the program will be running these holidays.”
Nagambie Library will host the Painted Pufferfish session on Tuesday, April 12, from 2pm.
Violet Town Library will have a Jiggly Jellyfish workshop on Thursday, April 14, from 2pm.
Euroa Library will run a Window Aquarium session on Wednesday, April 20, from 10.30am.
There is also a series of “meet up with the mobile library” visits scheduled during the holidays.
All locations, times and dates are included in the activity program.
“There are also take-home craft packs with four activities to complete over the holiday period,” Cr Binks said.
Inside every pack are four different sea-themed crafts to take and make, including templates and instructions.
These activities are suitable for all ages and can easily be made by younger children with a little bit of grown-up help with some crayons, pencils or textas, as well as glue and some scissors.
Craft packs will be available at GV Libraries branches and Mobile Library during open hours from Friday, April 8, until Saturday, April 23.
