Property owners Leesa Wallgate and Andrew Buchan, whose home was one of two destroyed on July 6 this year, believe it may have been fanned by clean up efforts.
People had to be rescued from both neighbouring homes as they burned, and two pet cats were killed in the blaze.
In September, one teenager was arrested and charged with multiple offences in relation to the incident, including destroying property with intent to endanger life.
Ms Wallgate said they have been gradually cleaning up debris from the fire, with work increasing in the past few weeks.
After the fire was reported about 4pm Wednesday, Deniliquin Fire + Rescue NSW responded with two trucks and crew. Deniliquin Police also attended.
Police Chief Inspector Michael Fuller said the cause of the fire is unknown, with an investigation now underway.
He confirmed no-one was injured in this week’s incident.
