Finally, the Rotary Club of Seymour will host a new market on Sunday, September 17.
The venue is picturesque Chittick Park, bordered by Pollard St and Alfred St. The event will run every third Sunday of the month except for January.
About 60 makers, bakers or growers will highlight their wares. Many make their goods at home, in the spare room or the garage, so have a passion and connection to their products and welcome your comments and feedback.
Rotary clubs throughout Australia manage weekend markets to raise funds and, most importantly, to grow and encourage community connection.
Rotary Club of Seymour president Greg Byers said club members were excited to host the market and contribute to the fabric of the Seymour community.
“We hope the community supports it and it becomes a long-term contributor to the way of life in Seymour,” Mr Byers said.
The team from the Tallarook CFA will be manning the gates for a gold coin donation entrance fee, with all funds raised going directly to its efforts.
Go along between 9am and 1pm, pick up a bargain, enjoy a coffee with your neighbours and friends and enjoy the sounds of Papa Jomo’s Delta Blues.
While you’re there, drop a coin into the wishing well and help Rotary make wishes come true.
