The action-packed show will be highlighted by a few new additions this year.
The Demo Derby this year will include both a female and a male derby on Saturday from about 6pm.
The female heat will be held first, followed by the men’s competition.
A little earlier in the day, about 4pm, the Deniliquin Vet Clinic will be on the oval running the best dressed dogs, a flat-chat dog race and the dog jump.
The classic carp throwing will also take place at 5pm.
As part of the free entertainment for the kids, there will also be a DJ from 5pm, putting on a free blue light disco for children in the shearing shed.
And there will be free camel rides from 12pm to 6pm, a free children’s activities tent and a free animal nursery.
All the traditional Deni Show favourites are also returning, including sheep and cattle judging from about 9am, poultry, shearing, carnival rides, horse events right across the weekend and the pavilion will be open to the public.
The Deni Show canteen will be open from breakfast and serving all day, and there will also be a licensed bar.
Also running all day will be the shearing and wool handling competitions.
To finish the show, which this year is Saturday only but with equestrian events continuing on Sunday, will be the traditional fireworks display from 9pm.
Deniliquin Show Society president Trudy Fanning said she is grateful for all the support to put on the event for the community,
“It is set to be a fun-packed day out - a fun-filled day, from sun up to sun down,” she said.
“We are quite thankful to all our sponsors for helping us make the day as great as it is, and because of them, we are able to put on free activities for the kids.
“We want to give the community a great day out, for farming families and local town families, plenty of events from animal judging to entertainment for everyone.
“It is awesome to see the continued passion from the volunteers, sponsors and community.
“We have a very passionate committee and without them, we wouldn’t be able to put on the Deni Show.
“We’re grateful for everyone who gets behind the Deni Show, helping it become bigger and better each year.”
