Show committee president Pat Nicholson said the group was “flat out” getting everything prepared for the show.
“We definitely want to get it out there that the show is definitely on, and we’re aiming for a bigger and better show this time around,” he said.
“We’re flat out at the moment getting everything sorted, but the show will run on February 25 and 26 with the Friday night and Saturday show.”
Many show favourites will be making their return in 2022, including the popular Friday night fireworks.
“This will be our 135th show, and we’re working on some activities to mark the occasion,” Mr Nicholson said.
“We made the decision about four weeks ago that the show would go ahead, so it’s been all hands on deck getting everything organised.
“Everything is falling into place really well, and at this stage all of our regular programs and animal events will run.”
Rochester’s art and craft community will be happy to learn that entries will open soon.
“In previous years we’ve had a big push from the schools, and so we’re hoping to have that happen again,” Mr Nicholson said.
