Brendan Moyle is in his second year at the college, and is trying his best to grow a moustache to support the team and the effort.
“As a school teacher, one of the things I often see is the mental health issues that a lot of the kids are facing, and adults as well,” Mr Moyle said.
“It’s important for a teacher like myself that we have an influence on the kids of the younger generation, so that by the time they start getting older, they hopefully aren’t subject to as many mental health concerns that people like myself were because we didn’t have the understanding when we were that age.
“If we can send the message to kids in particular, I think it will help in the long run.
“I myself have had some issues in the past, and so to be able to send that message and encourage more people to speak up and know that it’s okay to be struggling a little bit is important.”
The teachers are fundraising for the annual Movember charity as a team.
“There’s a group of us, we put in some money ourselves and then we’ve been doing some fundraising along the way, which has been awesome,” Mr Moyle said.
“One of the boys just brought it up one day that it would be a good thing to do, and then a lot of us jumped at the opportunity.”
