The association operates the streaming web television channels River TV 24 and River TV Sport 24.
Acting group chair Michael Costello hopes incorporation would put the association in a better position so they can support new members and their education.
“In the end, because we are a group involving volunteers, it was the logical next step to form a not-for-profit group to manage the streaming TV service, and to help community groups with their video needs,” he said.
“Now is the time for new members to get involved and to learn video while helping other local community groups.”
Community organisations are welcome to join as associate members, with River TV able to produce video content for them and use this content on their channels.
“The community group gets some video work done, and gain a video for their usage, and we gain local content for our streaming TV channels,” Mr Costello said.
“River TV is now ready to start producing video content again, and it is now up to the community of Echuca-Moama as to what we produce from here on.”
The public meeting will be held Sunday, November 10 at noon at the Echuca Workers’ Red Gum Room, 165 Annesley St, Echuca.
