The Nationals have announced new and retained roles in a shadow cabinet reshuffle.

Victorian Nationals leader Danny O’Brien retained his role as the shadow minister for roads and road safety and has taken on the roles of shadow minister for emergency services and shadow minister for regional development and liveability.

Mr O’Brien highlighted the disparity in infrastructure funding for regional areas.

“Regional Victoria makes up 25 per cent of the state yet receives just 13 per cent of infrastructure funding,” he said.

Member for Shepparton Kim O’Keeffe remains shadow assistant minister for regional multicultural affairs and Member for Euroa Annabelle Cleeland remains the shadow assistant minister for health.

Victorian Nationals deputy leader Emma Kealy retained agriculture and mental health, while Member for Ovens Valley Tim McCurdy added gaming and liquor to his existing portfolio of water and consumer affairs.

Member for Gippsland East Tim Bull continues as shadow minister for both racing and veterans affairs, adding volunteers to his existing portfolio of disability, ageing and carers.

Member for Eastern Victoria Melina Bath retained Aboriginal affairs and added the new portfolio of shadow minister for public land management.

Member for Morwell Martin Cameron is the new shadow assistant minister for both energy affordability and small business.
