Roger Gillon is the new Kyabram Probus Club president, having taken over from Betty Carling at the club’s recent annual meeting.
Gail Roberts has taken on the role of vice-president, while secretary Andrew Morom and treasurer Heather Emonson were both re-elected.
In her annual report, Ms Carling reviewed the club’s activities from the past year.
Highlights included a visit to the historic Day’s Flour Mill complex at Murchison, Elmore Vintage Emporium, and the Tungamah silo murals, followed by lunch at the local hotel.
In October, the club hosted a morning melodies show featuring Shepparton entertainer June Newman to mark Victorian Seniors Week and also joined members of Rochester, Tatura and Mooroopna Probus Clubs for a combined Probus lunch at Parkland Golf Club.
Christmas lunch was held at the Kyabram Senior Citizens clubrooms, with local musical group The Pure Drop entertaining.
A variety of interesting guest speakers were organised by Geoff Forryan throughout the year.
Kyabram resident Christine Anderson, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, will be the guest speaker at the April meeting.
