On the back of ongoing investigations, Murray River Police District Chief Inspector Michael Fuller said the arrest was made in Deniliquin about 12.10pm Monday.
“The man was taken to the Deniliquin Police Station and was charged with one count of aggravated break enter and steal in company, which is alleged to have occurred in Mathoura on February 7.
“The man was refused bail and appeared at the Albury Local Court on Tuesday.”
The man was granted bail, to appear again in Deniliquin Local Court, on April 1.
Money, computers, jewellery and household items were reported to have been stolen in the Livingstone St break-in, at a licenses premises.
It is believed to have occurred about 1am on February 7.
Investigations into this break-in and others in Mathoura and Deniliquin over recent months are continuing.
It includes one new theft reported this week.
Between 5.45pm Tuesday and 6.50am, the warehouse of a commercial premises in Hardinge St, Deniliquin was broken into.
Power tools and batteries have been reported missing.
A truck parked on site was also entered but it appears nothing was taken from the vehicle.

Police are investigating reports of malicious damage at a Deniliquin home.
The occupants of a Hodgkins St home discovered damage to the birdbath in front of their home about 7.30am Tuesday.
It is believed to have occurred after 11pm Monday.
