Police have appealed for witnesses after a boater’s body was located during a search on the Murray River in Moama last month.

About 7.30pm on Tuesday, January 14, Murray River Police District and Victoria Police officers responded to reports a man, 23, had disappeared after falling from a boat near Five Mile boat ramp, Moama.
A multi-agency search took place involving Murray River Police District, Victoria Police and Marine Rescue NSW.
The search continued to 9.45am on Thursday, January 16, when the body of the man, believed to be that of Nathan Taylor, was located south of the Five Mile boat ramp by Victoria Police divers.
Murray River Police District offices are investigating the circumstances of the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to contact local police.
In particular, police believe a number of people were on the Victorian side of the Murray River at the time and may have witnessed the incident.
