Riverlinks Eastbank in Shepparton proudly opens its doors to the Melbourne Celtic Festival, becoming one of the first venues outside the capital city for this event.
In the spirit of St Patrick’s Day, residents are invited to celebrate on Wednesday, March 19, with the sounds of the Emerald Isle.
Headlining the event are Austral, the Australian Folk Band of the Year, known for their lively energy and innovative fusion of contemporary and traditional Celtic tunes.
Also gracing the stage is international sensation Chloe Matharu, a 27-year-old singer-songwriter and harpist from Scotland.
Ms Matharu will perform songs from her acclaimed debut album, Small Voyages, and her newly released follow-up, Sailors and Rolling Stones.
Drawing inspiration from her experiences as a seafarer, she captivates listeners with her pure voice and haunting melodies, lauded by The Herald Scotland and BBC Scotland.
The luck of the Irish continues with Bhan Tre rounding out the lineup.
The trio, known for their authentic renditions of beloved Irish songs, promise a toe-tapping, hearty-laughing performance that transports audiences straight to the heart of Ireland.
Riverlinks manager Matthew Schroeders expressed his delight in hosting the tour, which promises to be the best craic in Australia.
“We are really looking forward to hearing the musicians in the venue, with the passionate sounds of Celtic music filling our space,” he said.
The Melbourne Celtic Festival on Tour will be in Shepparton on Wednesday, March 19, at 7.30pm at Riverlinks Eastbank, 70 Welsford St, Shepparton.
