This week’s pet of the week is Shelby, an adorable, joyful German shepherd cross who is looking for a forever home.
At 13 months old, Shelby is bursting with youthful energy and is eager to match whatever pace you set.
Shelby’s favourite things are food, a good pat and her toys.
She and her favourite toy, Kong, are inseparable, and most days you can catch Shelby carrying it everywhere she goes.
Shelby tends to be submissive with other dogs, and might be suitable for a household with cats and other small animals.
However, because of her tendency to be overzealous when excited, she is best suited to a home without small children.
Shelby requires further behavioural and leash training, but is sure to thrive with a little more work and patience.
If you think Shelby might be the dog for you, fill out the online adoption questionnaire and, if successful, a member of the Greater Shepparton Animal Shelter staff will be in touch to organise a meet and greet.
Applications must include photos of your secure yard.
