Pet of the Week | Maximus means maximum love!

He’s had a tough start to life, arriving at the shelter skinny and in rough shape.

This handsome boy is not just a looker — he’s super smart, too.

He lives for a game of fetch and will proudly bring the ball right back to your feet.

He knows cool tricks such as “sit up” and “stay”, and with his love of food, he’s a dream to train.

Maximus is all about people — he loves being around his humans and will happily soak up all the pats and cuddles you’ve got to give.

He could do well in a family with small kids or another friendly dog, as long as introductions are done slowly and with care.

A home without cats is best for this big softie.

He’s still learning his leash manners, but he’s eager to please and will pick it up in no time with a bit of guidance (and a few tasty treats).
