NCN Health, in collaboration with the Hume Rural Health Alliance, is pleased to announce it has transitioned to a fully consolidated Patient Administration System.
Patients will now be able to access greater continuity of care with the new system, which has introduced, among other things, a new patient identifier.
NCN Health chief executive Mark Ashcroft said the implementation of the Hume PAS Connect marked a significant step forward in delivering integrated care across the region.
He added that the new system would contribute to patient safety, streamline clinical workflows and improve connectivity.
“This initiative brings 14 health services together under a unified system, fostering enhanced collaboration for the benefit of patients and staff across our region,” Mr Ashcroft said.
“Hume PAS Connect reflects our commitment to leveraging technological solutions to enhance healthcare outcomes, reduce operational risks and enhance the overall patient experience.”
NCN Health is one of over a dozen health services across the Hume region to benefit from the new PAS. Other services include Benalla Health, Goulburn Valley Health, Seymour Health and Yarrawonga Health.
HRHA chief information officer Neelu Kaur said the agency was pleased to deliver a connected PAS for the first time in the region’s history.
“This is a great achievement, which has been earned through collaboration,” Ms Kaur said.
“We thank all the health services’ teams for their support for this major transition, and the activity in the years leading up to this. As always, we are looking towards the future investments in digital health to bridge the healthcare gaps in our regional communities.”
