Applications for the 2025 Moira Shire Youth Council are officially open.
Designed to empower the next generation of leaders, the youth council will provide the tools, training and support young people need to develop their leadership skills and actively contribute to the shire’s future.
Youth council members will have the chance to participate in leadership development workshops, engage in community projects and represent the young people of the region at Moira Shire Council meetings and events.
Moira Shire Council chair administrator Graeme Emonson said the youth council would offer an exciting platform to voice ideas and drive real change.
“This program embraces diversity, and we strongly encourage young people from all walks of life to apply,” he said.
“This is your chance to develop valuable skills, build lifelong connections, and gain a deeper understanding of local government.”
Applications close on October 22.
