From 11am to 2pm, guests will be able to tour the facility and enjoy activities on site.
While the return of aged care residents to the site has been delayed, the community is still welcome on Saturday.
The Rochester Lions Club members will be cooking up the barbecue, while the Port Ice Creamery from Echuca be serving up scoops to keep things cool.
There is plenty of entertainment, including live music from local acoustic duo Three’s a Crowd, face painting by Make a Face, a colouring-in competition, lawn games and a jumping castle from It’s Party Time Jumping Castles.
REDHS chief executive Mary Manescu is delighted to welcome locals back to the site, which has been closed since the October 2022 floods.
“It is a great opportunity for the community to walk in again,” she said.
“(They can) get a feel for the new build and get that confidence that we are actually back and as ready as we can be.”
While hospital services will resume in a staged approach to ensure the site is safe and staff are fully prepared, the open day will provide a chance to see the site after the two-year rebuild.
Official proceedings on the day will begin at 11.15am, while guided tours of the site will be from noon.
