Well into the new year, Shepparton has seen a range of new and unique businesses open in the area. Here are a few of them.
Saint Stella Aesthetics:

Taking a holistic approach to aesthetic medicine, nurse Paula Norman is changing the beauty and skin care game with her new business, Saint Stella Aesthetics.
Saint Stella Aesthetics provides skin rejuvenation and anti-ageing treatment to clients through combining aesthetic medicine with medical grade skincare and in-clinic skin treatments.
Ms Norman offers three types of treatments — OxyGeneo three-in-one facial treatment, light therapy and anti-wrinkle injections.
Exclusive to Saint Stella Aesthetics, the three-in-one facial works to exfoliate, oxygenate and infuse the skin with active ingredients by using tripolar radio frequency, ultrasound and OxyGeneo technologies.
This assists the body’s natural processes in replenishing the skin and works for pigmentation, acne and ageing skin.
Light therapy is the therapeutic use of light emitting diode energy, which improves cellular recovery and can be used anywhere on the body.
This helps relieve inflammation, muscle and joint pain such as arthritis, control active acne and enhance skin rejuvenation.
“I’ve had young girls come in, loving their skin after the facial treatment,” Ms Norman said.
“Putting make-up on for them is so much easier and their skin is smoother. So, the positive feedback is really great … I've also treated sports injuries, hamstring injuries too with the light therapy.
“Everyone would have a skin consultation first or if they want anti-wrinkle injections there is a free no-obligation quote. I'll devise a plan for them and incorporate in-clinic treatments and medical grade skincare.”

GV Body Rejuvenation
Another nurse making a splash is Monique Camm, who opened her new business, GV Body Rejuvenation, in March.
Her services offer clinical treatments for body sculpting and pelvic floor control through the BTL Emsella and Emsculpt machines, which use electromagnetic energy to contract the muscles in the body and strengthen them.
The Emsculpt is administered through electromagnetic paddles and targeted at contracting the muscles in the abdomen, buttocks, calves, biceps and triceps. This helps the fat cells in the body break down, resulting in a toned look.
“You can use it to either start off your fitness journey or while you’re at the gym,” Mrs Camm said.
“If you’re active and fit but you’ve hit a plateau, you can use this to build up more muscle mass and create more muscle fibres to help you push past the plateau.”
The BTL Emsella uses the same process except the energy is transferred through a chair and delivered into the pelvic floor to assist with issues such as incontinence, erectile dysfunction, post childbirth recovery and post prostatectomy.
Mrs Camm has always wanted to help and support those who suffered with these issues and hopes she can make these treatments easier to access for the community.
“I want to help people become healthy and build their strength back up,” she said.
“They've gone through different life changes and it’s really important to be able to support them doing that.
“Having to go to Melbourne and other places like that can be either impossible or really quite taxing and expensive. So if we could offer it locally, it would be good for the community.”

Shepparton Chargrilled Chicken
With stores in Tatura and Kyabram having opened in the past two years, Chargrilled Chicken has now come to Shepparton.
Since opening in early March, Shepparton Chargrilled Chicken has been booming and rising in popularity.
Regional manager for the three stores Sue Bevilacqua said they had already received a large amount of positive feedback from customers.
“People love our amazing chips with our special secret seasoning and the healthy aspect of the chicken because it’s chargrilled. People also love the variety of salads that we have,” she said.
The company also prides itself on looking after the environment by cooking chargrilled chicken and not using charcoal.
“Charcoal ovens are bad for the environment because of the emissions ... chargrilled means we’re doing our bit for the environment,” Mrs Bevilacqua said.
The variety of gluten-free options is also impressing customers.
"Our chickens are gluten-free, we marinate and stuff them with rye stuffing that’s made in store,” Mrs Bevilacqua said.
“We have other varieties of gluten-free in store like our potato bake, with gluten-free cornflour, and half our salads are gluten-free. Our salads are also homemade.”
The business, at 310 High St in Shepparton Plaza, offers take-away, eat-in and event catering.
Other businesses that have opened recently include Augustus Gelatery on Maude St, Vietnamese Street Foods 888 on High St and Kaisercraft at Riverside Plaza.
