The night will see three of the town’s op shops combining - Deniliquin’s Community Op Shop, Salvos Store and Vinnies - to hold and feature fashions for the fashion parade fundraiser.
From 7pm, March 21, the parade will be a fun showcase of the local op shops’ wares at the Salvation Army Hall at 60 Edwardes St, Deniliquin.
All proceeds raised on the night will be distributed to the three organisations to put back into supporting the community and the town’s op shop causes.
Amid cost of living pressures, the three organisations are seeing daily increases in people signing up to use the services for support and food assistance.
Deniliquin Salvation Army community engagement officer Sandra Whyborn said the event will be an enjoyable way to support local causes and appreciate some local fashion.
“We think this will be a great fun way to show off all the amazing clothes we have in the op shops and have a bit of fun at the same time.
“I’d like to thank our volunteers for organising this event and to the marvellous models who will parade some of the lovely clothes we get through our op shops.
“All money raised goes back into the community, helping the community and various initiatives.”
All clothes modelled on the day will be for sale with a few extra accessory items including bags, hats and scarves.
Each shop is bringing a mixture of clothes which will be paired together, allowing attendees to celebrate all things op shop and find a beautiful bargain.
Tickets are $10 per person or $15 per family, and includes a light supper of finger food, tea and coffee available.
Tickets are available on the night or from any of the three op shop stores.
