The arrest related to Tocumwal and Deniliquin-based incidents reported in November and December.
Police are still investigating many others, and with more incidents reported since last speaking with police, the community is warned there is no room for complacency.
Murray River Police District Chief Inspector Michael Fuller confirmed yesterday that a 23 year-old man had been arrested on Sunday.
An arrest warrant was executed at a George St home about 3pm.
“The man was also charged with break and enter dwelling house with intent and enter enclosed lands, which is alleged to occurred in Tocumwal during November 2024.
“The man was charged with negligent driving, unlicensed driving and take and drive conveyance, which is alleged to have occurred in Deniliquin during December 2024.
“He was refused bail and will appear at Albury Local Court.”
The outcome of yesterday’s appearance at Albury was not known at the time of going to print.
New property related crimes reported since late last week include the theft of a blue 4WD from a Wilkinson St home in Deniliquin.
It is reported to have been taken from the property about 9.30pm Saturday, and was yesterday yet to be recovered.
Police also received reports of a number of car break-ins, and located property in the Blighty area.
Between 8.30pm Saturday and 7.30am Sunday, an amount of fuel was stolen from a vehicle parked at a home in Wood St.
Between 9pm Thursday and 8am Friday, a vehicle parked at a home in Wood St was broken into with an amount of property stolen.

Police are also seeking the owner/s of a chainsaw, speaker, satellite device and black bag which were found on Woodbury Rd, Blighty about 9am Friday.
The items were discovered by a community member, who contacted police.
