New look: Architect Allister Sarris has given us a glimpse of what’s to come.

Those with long memories will recall that MB+M Shepparton started with Maxwell Brown (MB) in 1946 and the +M (Peter Mountjoy) joined in 1957.

It had been a big year for Peter, carrying the torch and lighting the local cauldron in Shepparton prior to the 1956 Olympic Games.

But Oddie digresses.

Those with shorter memories will also remember that MB+M were the first to set a new standard in office design when they built their current premises on Nixon St.

Well, they are at it again.

Architect Allister Sarris has revealed the seeds of a new office building for the firm where the MB+M letters appear to be holding up the building.

Charting the chartered accountants

Funny what happens when you keep growing a business.

You keep having to move.

MB+M started with one partner (can you even do that?) and one employee with a typewriter at 370 Wyndham St.

Eight years later it was off to Fryers St.

By 1984, purpose-built offices were needed in Welsford St, but the firm also purchased two old houses which would eventually become the home of a new building in 1990.

Then came the current building opposite Queens Gardens in Nixon St.
