Children aged under nine years old receiving the influenza vaccination for the first time require two doses, at least one month apart.
UPDATE, 1.45pm: Winter is coming
Monique Preston is back with another weather report, this time wrapping up autumn.
Tomorrow marks the start of winter, although it feels like it’s already in full swing.

Significantly higher rainfall figures were recorded in March and April than the historical average taken over the past 26 years in the city.
May, however, bucked the trend, with less rain than the monthly average.

We’re in the midst of National Reconciliation Week and Caitlyn Grant has brought us another story from Sorry Day last Thursday.
Three generations of Felicia Morgan’s family commemorated the day with their traditional healing walk from Shepparton to Mooroopna.
Ms Morgan said the walk served as a reminder that “nothing has really changed from the past to the present”.
Hear more from Ms Morgan here.

It comes as cases of flu have increased by more than 30 per cent in the past week from 10,000 to 15,000.
More than 3000 community pharmacies and GPs will be invited to offer the free jabs as part of a $33 million package.
Victorians are encouraged to contact their local GP or pharmacy from tomorrow to book their free vaccine.
UPDATE, 10.25am: Costa in town to mark 100,000 plantings
Landscape architect Costa Georgiadis was in Shepparton last week to celebrate the planting of more than 100,000 trees and plants across the region.
It’s part of the One Tree Per Child program, which Greater Shepparton is leading the world in, in terms of the number of trees planted.
Mayor Kim O’Keeffe said the goal now was to plant another 100,000 trees across Greater Shepparton during the next four years.
UPDATE, 9am: Traffic lights switch on outside Greater Shepparton Secondary College
Greater Shepparton City Council put out a reminder this morning that the pedestrian crossing lights are now operational on Hawdon Street.
Keep an eye out if you’re heading in that direction today and don’t forget about the 40km/hr speed limit during school hours.
