The space was completed throughout the summer holidays and will be shared by both Prep and Year 1 students.
The new classroom is situated at the centre of the school and connects directly to both the library and the main office.
Principal Kevin Sourgen said the Prep hub would be beneficial to the students.
“We’re very excited with our new Prep centre,” he said.
“We’ve given them clear access to the additional space of the library and they’ve got a beautiful aspect now looking out there, out of all those windows, and it is a bright airy space.
“They now have an amazing place to learn and grow in.”
The school has five Prep students this year, including Esther K, Amelia S, Joseph R, Nathaniel J and Talon M.
The new students received special T-shirts on their first day to commemorate the new beginnings.
Mr Sourgen said the shirts were a memento for the children.
“The Prep shirts that we give them signifies that it’s their first day and it also acknowledges they’ll be the graduation class of 2037,” he said.
“It’s also just a nice way to make them feel special on their first day.”
