Consumers who buy the ‘Helping humans’ range of drinks can choose a charity to support.
SPC chief executive Robert Giles says the sugar-free range is founded on social responsibility.
The drinks offer a choice of water flavoured with fermented botanical ingredients and include combinations of ginkgo and guarana, echinacea and turmeric and ginseng and turmeric.
With 10 per cent of all profits going straight to charity partners chosen by the consumers, and delivered in recyclable packaging, Helping humans reflects consumers' growing call for brands to deliver on social and environmental impact, as well as enjoyment.
Charity partners have been identified by the brand to address a variety of issues facing Australians, including health, humanities, mental health and environment-focused organisations.
Every can includes a QR code for consumers to Scan the Can to Do Good by selecting which partner they want the funds to support.
Partnering organisations include Headspace, The McGrath Foundation, Australian Gynaecological Cancer Foundation, Streetsmart, One Heart Foundation (which works with vulnerable children in East Africa), Black Dog, Planet Ark and Ceres, a non-profit centre based in Brunswick offering organic groceries, nursery and environmental education.
Helping humans is a sponsor of Headspace’s Million for Mental Health Day, an initiative that gives back to a mental health service that works towards creating healthy environments.
Mr Giles said SPC was proud to introduce Helping humans as a brand dedicated to furthering the wellbeing of Australians with high-quality beverages that support focus, immunity and energy while also supporting charity partnerships.
The range is expected to be available at Coles, 7Eleven and independent retailers.
