From May 5, Rachelle Quattrocchi will step into the role, bringing 25 years’ experience in rural and metropolitan local governments to the position.
Mayor Claire Ewart-Kennedy said council was thrilled to welcome Ms Quattrocchi to the team.
“Her extensive experience, leadership capabilities and deep understanding of rural communities will be invaluable in driving positive outcomes for our region,” she said.
“Rachelle’s proven track record in executive leadership, financial stewardship and community-focused service delivery made her an outstanding choice for Strathbogie Shire Council.”
Ms Quattrocchi most recently served as director of city services at the Manningham Council in Melbourne’s east.
While with that council, Ms Quattrocchi had the chance to demonstrate her leadership and governance abilities as acting chief executive on multiple occasions.
With family ties to the Strathbogie region, she said her focus would be on ensuring the financial sustainability of the organisation while strategically identifying opportunities that benefited the region economically, socially and environmentally.
“As chief executive officer, I aim to put the people of Strathbogie Shire at the centre of everything we do, ensuring exceptional service delivery and strong community outcomes,” Ms Quattrocchi said.
“This will be underpinned by good governance, meaningful community engagement, and trusted relationships with local businesses, industry, Traditional Owners and the broader community.”
Council extended its gratitude to interim chief executive Tim Tamlin for his leadership and dedication during his tenure.
