NCN Health is a rural health service with three campuses, located in Nathalia, Cobram and Numurkah.
The Graduate Nurse Program provides the opportunity for candidates to explore diverse learning experiences in a rural healthcare setting.
It runs for 12 months. In addition to the experience of working in the NCN Health services, candidates will also have access to:
Paid study leave days;
A variety of rotations throughout NCN Health, including urgent care;
Theatre and recovery;
Community nursing and aged care;
Increased clinical exposure in supportive teams;
Specialty rotations within NCN Health; and
Ongoing employment opportunities.
Many graduate nurses have gone on to secure ongoing employment at the end of their graduate nurse year.
Chris, a recent Graduate Nurse Program member, said staff members at NCN Health were supportive.
“The patient load has diversity throughout,” Chris said.
“I’d recommend working at NCN Health to anyone who is considering the Graduate Nurse Program.”
Victoria, a current Graduate Nurse Program member, said she really loved working at NCN Health.
“It’s a great place to do your grad year, as you get to experience lots of variety in your rotations,” Victoria said.
NCN Health describes its community as friendly, supportive and professional, with a culture focused on respect, accountability and partnership.
“We are excited to welcome graduate applications to join our team in 2024 delivering ongoing quality health care for our communities,” an NCN Health spokesperson said.
