Nav fires up the community bbq

Summer and barbecues go hand-in-hand, and Navorina Aged Care took advantage of the slightly cooler weather on Monday to get the ‘barbie’ fired up for residents.

While barbecue days have been held Mondays at the facility for some time, Navorina lifestyle coordinator Bernadette Werner said a few have been skipped recently due to the weather.

But residents were again joined by family and friends this week for the special event.

Along with the weekly Thursday morning family breakfast, it’s part of Navorina’s aim to foster community connections for residents who may not have the chance to leave the facility.
