A Victoria Police spokesperson said a silver Ford sedan allegedly performed burnouts in McCrae St about 1.20am.
The driver allegedly continued to drive erratically after police activated their lights and siren and tried to intercept the vehicle, they said.
The spokesperson said it would be alleged the vehicle struck the police car and narrowly missed several nearby pedestrians before driving away.
A 19-year-old Moama man was arrested and charged with reckless conduct endangering life.
He was bailed to appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court in August.
Earlier, a 27-year-old Bamawm man and a 22-year-old Nanneella man were arrested after police executed search warrants at Bamawm and Nanneella addresses.
The Bamawm man was charged with nine offences, including reckless conduct endangering life, causing damage to an emergency service vehicle by reckless driving, aggravated potential exposure to police, fail to stop on police request and drive in manner dangerous.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The Nanneella man was charged with reckless conduct endangering life.
He was bailed to appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court in August.
