Mrs Zamagias raised $1372 for the Cancer Council just on the door and with ticket sales from her morning tea event.
“I had a goal of $1000,” she said.
“We probably had 50 to 60 people in attendance, I was hoping for $1000 in ticket sales,” she said.
“I’m pretty pleased with that.
“I think it’s a well-designed event by Cancer Council — people can give as is appropriate for them.”
Mrs Zamagias would like to thank the locals businesses who helped make the event such a success: Moama Bakery; Savoury Bite; Woolworths; Coles; Quincey Jones; Madison Spa Resort; Three Black Sheep; Bryants Buds; Forever Fresh; Big W; St Anne's Winery; Beechworth Bakery; Paramount Echuca; and Mad Hatter Tea Shop.
