But only slightly.
The Magpies have altered their fixture, and will now play Katandra at Victoria Park, Echuca, on April 4.
The club has made the choice to switch venues for its opening game — and swapped venues for four matches — as work continues on the new facilities at Moama Recreation Reserve.
The black and white have swapped matches with Rumbalara, with the round three clash moved to Rumba, and round 18 now played at home.
The club has agreed to a similar arrangement with Barooga, with their round five clash now at Barooga, and the round 13 match returning to Moama.
Club president Matt Lake said the club was incredibly grateful to everyone involved.
“We had planned to play at home through the construction,” he said.
“But we've made the decision it would be better to get the facilities completed. Thankfully, the clubs in the Murray League have agreed to swap some matches.
“We also want to thank the Echuca Football and Netball Club for their help. We approached them about using Vic Park and they were more than happy to accommodate. It's a great result to keep the game local.”
Construction remains on track, with the new clubrooms and facilities expected to be ready for Moama's round seven clash with Numurkah on May 23.
Lake said the new facilities were a win not only for the club, but for the wider community.
“It's going to be fantastic,” he said.
“The redevelopment helps our club in a lot of ways — sponsorship and recruiting, as well as how we can prepare for games and training for both football and netball — it's a huge advantage.
“We want to be everyone’s club and hopefully this helps in bringing people together as part of the Moama Football and Netball Club.
“But it's a great addition for the whole community. So many groups in Moama gain something out of this redevelopment, we’re grateful to be one of those clubs who have access to it.”
