Why, you ask? Their magnificent full-scale metal sculptures are not only popping up across the region, but their smaller, equally intricate pieces are also causing quite the stir.
The geniuses behind this creative collaboration are Tank and Steve Tobin, two mates with over 50 years of combined experience in the arts and construction.
Tank handles a lot of the design work and Steve focuses more on the structural and internal aspects. According to Steve, the pair’s experience enables them to balance each other out.
“Work is actually fun,” Steve said.
“We really enjoy what we create, and we’re not afraid to tell each other when something doesn’t look right. It works, and we what we end up with is really cool.”
The business specialises in crafting extraordinary pieces from recycled materials, including sculptures, furniture, plant stands, quirky gifts, bird baths and an impressive array of house and garden décor.
If you haven’t experienced their exceptional talent yet, mark your calendar for this Saturday, July 27, as the duo’s work is set to dazzle at an unmissable exhibition at the Shepparton Brewery.
Each showcased piece is unique, each tells its own story and each is waiting for its forever home.
“It’s going to be a really fun afternoon,” Tank said.
“It’s impressive what you can do with upcycled materials from the home and garden.
“Every piece is something you can’t get at a shop, and each has its own history and is part of a unique collection.
“Come down and say hi, check it all out and have a beer and a bite to eat at the same time.”
Tank & Tobin Sculpture Works’ collection showcases a unique blend of creativity and workmanship.
