The event will involve a drive from Derrimut (north-west Melbourne) to MOVE in Shepparton, allowing motor enthusiasts to go for a scenic spin and show off their favourite wheels along the way.
MOVE curator and operations manager Jade Burley said the event would be a “must do” for motoring enthusiasts and that he had every confidence it would grow to be an annual event.
The drive will start at CMV Truck and Bus in Derrimut and vehicles will depart at 10am.
CMV Truck and Bus is home to Volvo trucks and buses as well as Mack and UD trucks.
It is a family-owned truck and bus dealership and service facility.
“CMV is a sponsor and fantastic supporter of MOVE, so we are delighted to kick off the day at their amazing facility,” Mr Burley said.
The starting point will have baristas on hand and breakfast available for participants.
The drive will then take participants through Sunbury, Romsey, Lancefield, Tooborac, and then through to Nagambie.
The final leg will include a lunch stop on the banks of the Goulburn River and then on to Shepparton and the Finishline Festival at MOVE.
The Finishline Festival will run in the afternoon and into the evening.
It will also feature the participating vehicles on display, and a People’s Choice award for the favourite machine of the day.
There will also be live music, food, wine and other local treats, and full access to MOVE.
Entry will include a lunch on the drive, dinner and drinks at MOVE, and full access to the museum and the Finishline Festival.
Entry is open to cars, motorbikes, trucks and buses.
