A versatile and exciting forward, Ryan has 75 goals in 88 games for the Bulldogs, never more potent than last campaign where he electrified for 36 goals for the season.
While his impact has not been as pronounced this year, with nine goals in 10 games, he remained confident the forward mix could be the right recipe for success.
‘‘It’s a pretty good forward line, especially with big Brando (Brandyn Grenfell) down there, he’s pretty dangerous,’’ Ryan said.
‘‘Then you’ve got blokes like Jimmy Sull (James Sullivan) at his feet, he’s a very good player. Then you’ve got guys like Jaydan Thewma and Billy Cooper, hopefully we can keep building and improving ever week.
‘‘I’m a centre half-forward, so I’m up high trying to get the ball up around the wings, taking a few marks and leading and that sort of stuff.
‘‘I try and kick a few goals when I can as well.’’
Having joined from Kyabram in 2016, Ryan said his new club had become home.
‘‘I started in Ky and played under-16s and thirds there, but I’ve been at Tat ever since and this is my sixth year,’’ he said.
‘‘It’s family-orientated, everyone gets on well, it’s a good club and hard not to like it really.’’
