At the recent Deniliquin and District PSSA cross country event held in the Murray Valley Regional Park in Deniliquin, Mathoura Public School’s team took to the track with impressive speed and determination.

In cold and muddy conditions, the strong squad of 12 displayed not only impressive athleticism but also resolve and determination, with eight students securing a top 10 finish, four finishing in second, third or fourth places, and two sisters, Katelyn and Sophie Eddy crossing the line in the top spot as district age group champions.
Six Mathoura Public School runners qualified to compete in the next level of competition, representing the Deniliquin and District PSSA at the upcoming Riverina event.
This next stage of the championships will be held in Gundagai on Thursday, June 15.
