A Melbourne man was airlifted to The Alfred hospital at the weekend following an incident at Twin Knobs Beach Camping Area (River Murray Reserve).

Emergency services were called to the scene about 9pm on Saturday, September 28, after a 22-year-old man allegedly set himself on fire while camping with a group of friends.
Police understand the young man filled his mouth with petrol before attempting to spit it on to a bonfire.
A friend of the man called emergency services after the man became engulfed in flames.
Nobody else was reported injured.
The man was airlifted to The Alfred hospital in a serious but non-life threatening condition with burn injuries.
Police believe the young man was visiting the popular camping site over the weekend with a group of friends.
Police are unable to say if either alcohol or drugs were involved.
The Alfred has confirmed the man is in a serious but stable condition.
