Cobram Highway Patrol unit tried to intercept a vehicle detected speeding in Bundalong around 1.30pm on Saturday, January 11 where the 28-year-old Wangaratta male driver refused to stop and sped off from police.
The vehicle failed to stop a second time when sighted by Police before being sighted on Robinson’s Rd, Boorhaman North before it hit a police vehicle while trying to avoid the officers.
The male then got his vehicle stuck before fleeing on foot.
A short time later, with the assistance of local farmers, the man was taken into custody and charged with numerous traffic offences and bailed to appear in court at a later date.
